So Mother's Day is fast approaching and I can't rush to the shops in a last minute panick to buy my dear mum a "thank you for being awesome" gift which some organized shop asistant has displayed beautifully on a shelf with all the other Mother's Day goodies! It means I actually have to think for myself. Because I'm a busy mum, with a toddler that's developing his immunity and in the middle of a house renovation there is nothing better than a DIY gift, that's easy, fun, thoughtful and made from something you already have in your house...it's a great reinvention gift!!
Introducing the permanent marker plate...all you need is a plate, platter, bowl, dish anything you have excess of in your kitchen
A permanent marker (Such as a Sharpie)
An oven

Make sure your chosen plate is clean & dry and draw to your hearts content. My mum particularly loves the "tree of life" so I thought this would look pretty cool. If you make a mistake just wipe with a damp cloth. Once completed pop in a preheated oven (200 degrees) for 30 minutes and your done!
There are so many options ( check out all the " sharpie plates" on Pinterest), and so much fun to create!! I got a little carried away. So all I need to do is wrap...a paper bag, string and flower for effect and tah dah.
